Welcome to The Next Size Edit.

Children grow. Favorite pants become too short. A drawer full of clothes can still leave you wondering what goes together. The Next Size Edit helps you plan the next little wardrobe with a clear palette, useful pieces, and a budget in mind.

We focus on newborns through age five, bringing together everyday outfit ideas, seasonal layers, and simple ways to make the clothes you choose work harder. Start with what still fits, fill the gaps, and leave room for your family’s preferences.

Useful first.

Easy changes, comfortable movement, and washable favorites belong at the center of a child’s wardrobe.

More combinations.

A few colors and versatile layers can turn a small collection into several outfits.

A clear spending plan.

We separate budget targets from checked shopping totals so you can plan with context.

Our editorial approach

How an edit comes together

  1. Choose the stage and season. The size label, everyday routine, and weather shape the plan.
  2. Build a useful palette. Tops, bottoms, and layers should work in more than one combination.
  3. Check the details. Shopping guides need the selected retailer variant, size options, pack quantity, care details, and current availability.
  4. Explain the budget. Planning allowances are labeled as targets. Published shopping totals should show what they include and exclude.

Retailer stock and prices can change after a guide is prepared. Always review the retailer’s size chart and current product information before ordering.

A note about the images

Our editorial styling images are created with AI to illustrate colors and outfit ideas. They are not proof of a product’s fit, fabric, quality, or availability. Concept images are labeled; a finished shopping guide should identify the actual retailer products separately.

We do not describe concept outfits as personally tested clothing.

Affiliate disclosure

Some finished shopping guides may contain affiliate links. If you buy through one of those links, The Next Size Edit may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate shopping links will be labeled near the recommendations.

Our current capsule preview is a styling and budget plan. Its retailer links are not active yet.

Privacy & newsletter

The newsletter signup asks for your email address so The Next Size Edit can send capsule wardrobe ideas, seasonal finds, and occasional updates. Signup submissions are stored in our FreedomKit account. You do not need to provide your child’s name, age, or other personal details.

Joining is optional. Once newsletters begin, each marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe. The signup form displays a confirmation after a successful submission; newsletter delivery starts after launch.

Pages and embedded forms may use technical services needed to load and process a submission. When you follow a retailer link, that retailer’s own privacy information and checkout terms apply.
